San Diego, CA, October 20, 2010 -- The Urban League of San Diego County, Equal Opportunity Day and Diversity Summit announced its first class of Forty Under 40 awardees on October 1, 2010. The award is intended to introduce young leaders who are playing critical roles in the community and professional arenas within San Diego County. Dante Pride, Managing Attorney of The Pride Law Firm, was among the awardees.
The Forty Under 40 awards program honors 40 men and women under the age of 40 who have been making headlines in their fields. The newest class of Forty Under 40’s demonstrate a commitment and persistence to building a brighter San Diego. “We believe it’s important to honor their achievements; the emergence of these young leaders is critical to the future of San Diego,” said Ray King, President & CEO Urban League of San Diego County.
The hosting organization, Urban League San Diego County Young Professionals (ULSDCYP), is a national network of young professionals ages 21-40 that provides leadership development, economic empowerment and community volunteer opportunities for young professionals. ULSDCYP members work to develop, implement, and lead the next generation's civil rights agenda within the National Urban League, the civil rights movement, and society-at-large.
